Vodka Sauce (Pizza)

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 20 ml Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) or shallot (minced)
  • 60 g Tomato paste
  • 60 ml Vodka
  • 200 ml Heavy cream
  • 400 g Canned tomatoes (crushed)
  • 8 g Salt

Instructions

  1. Sauté garlic (and/or shallot) in oil; cook tomato paste until deep brick red.
  2. Deglaze with vodka; simmer briefly to cook off harsh alcohol.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and heavy cream; simmer 10–15 minutes; season with salt.
